Local ABC15 anchor Steve Irvin went to social media to defending teachers and their fight with the legislature over the budget deal. In his Facebook post Irvin said that the #redfored movement to fill the House and Senate galleries and adding that if you "Think 50 thousand teachers can't possibly show up at the capitol again? Don't put it past them. They're already rallying the troops." He states that if the budget negotiations become a fight legislatures will have to do it with "red shirts glaring over their shoulders."

KFYI host Mike Broomhead then went to social media and tagged Steve Irvin in his post and called him a (unbiased journalist) for posting in favor of the #redfored movement online.
Irvin then took to Twitter to respond to Mike Broomhead by asking if he is bias by supporting police and fire fighters or a Gold star family like Mike's. Mike Broomhead lost his brother Thomas in 2003 during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Mike responded by pointing out the obvious differences between supporting police and supporting the #redfored movement.
ABC's Steve Irvin then decided to attack supports of #purpleforparents , the facebook group of parents who are against the #redfored movement , by calling them "wingnuts"
