Emmy award-winning makeup designer Marc Pilcher has died of COVID.
He was fully vaccinated and had no underlying health conditions. Pilcher was only 53.
It wasn't supposed to be this way. Pilcher did everything right.

The news comes just three weeks after the U.K.-based stylist — who was double vaccinated and had no underlying health conditions — picked up a Creative Emmy statuette in Los Angeles for his work on the Netflix series.
Pilcher took and tested negative on multiple COVID-19 tests to make the trip across the Atlantic and back again for the ceremony. Not long after his return he took ill and his condition deteriorated over the weekend. He died on Sunday.
Pilcher was incredibly beloved and incredibly talented.

This is meant as a warning. We have pretended these COVID shots are the only answer to COVID. It's time for the public policy health experts like Dr. Anthony Fauci to be fully honest with us and explain why breakthrough cases like this are happening. Then we could reassess our own risk honestly.
