Color this ironic.
Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has spent the past almost five years saying the 2016 election was stolen from her by the Russians. To quote Madam Hillary in 2019, 'you can run the best campaign, you can even become the nominee, and you could have the election stolen from me.'
Today, she says, 'we're still in the midst of a concerted, well-funded, effort to undermine American democracy' because former President Trump continues to attack the election.
Hmmm.
Let's rewind the clock to 2016. Clinton, her campaign team, and the DNC hired a former British spy to dig up dirt on then-candidate Trump. The result was a 'dossier' that was filled with lies.
This 'dossier' was given to the FBI and the media. Given, not leaked.
Why? The contents were damaging enough to sink Trump's chances of winning the general election. Recently indicted Perkins Coie lawyer Michael Sussman knew the media would buy the lies. And buy they did, making the Russian dossier out to be proof Trump was a Russian agent.
Meanwhile, the FBI used the fake dossier Hillary Clinton and lied on secret FISA court applications to spy on a presidential campaign.
And Hillary Clinton is out here talking about an effort to undermine Democracy.
She knows damn well that's exactly what she tried to do five years ago when she attempted to steal an election by paying for lies and getting America's media hooked on those lies.
Thankfully, Clinton's attempts failed and America was saved from having her be the 45th president.
