95% of Americans are changing their spending habits. This makes President Joe Biden not only look bad, but ineffective. So, the president is now taking the 'do something' approach to high gas prices proposing a federal gas tax holiday for three months. This plan requires Congressional approval which Biden may not get. The federal gas tax is 18.4 cents per gallon. Dropping the price of gas that much would save you $1.80 for every ten gallons of gas you buy. Estimates say it would save you, on average, $38 dollars over the course of a month. Not a huge dent. But, Biden's plan isn't designed to save you much money, only so it appears he's doing something about the rising cost of gas.
Biden also shifts blame away from him toward oil companies and gas stations.
Politics 101: blame everyone but Biden.
