Cali Gun Leak No Accident.

The office of California's Attorney General, Rob Bonta, released the personal information of thousands of California gun owners and concealed carry permit holders. The “leaked” information included thousands of gun owners full names, date of birth, home address, race, when their concealed carry permit was issued, and what type of permit was issued.

The leak is being blamed on a new updated “Gun Ownership Portal” that the California AG claimed would, "improve transparency and information sharing for firearms-related data."

Well, I guess it did just that. On steroids.

More than just law abiding gun owners, but a reported 420 reserve officers and 244 judges were doxed in this “leak”.

In a statement sent to Newsweek the Attorney General’s office claimed, "We are investigating an exposure of individuals' personal information connected to the DOJ Firearms Dashboard. Any unauthorized release of personal information is unacceptable. We are working swiftly to address this situation and will provide additional information as soon as possible."

The timing is suspect. This ‘leak” took place just a few days after the Supreme Court ruled that New York’s carry laws were unconstitutional.

While activism from elected officials is not uncommon these days, the AG’s office claims that this was simply an error.

I don’t believe it was an error.

This is a dangerous piece of activism by a progressive Attorney General jeopardizing the safety and privacy of thousands of law abiding gun owners.

Think about the American citizens that have been outed by the state’s top cop. These are concealed carry permit holders. These are the EXACT type of citizens that we can all agree should be able to safely and privately practice their God given 2nd amendment right. They have taken classes, firearm safety courses, paid application fees, and have been run through an advanced background check system.

So the reward granted to these safe and well educated firearms owner for going above and beyond is fear for their own safety. Fear of a state government that ignores the safety, privacy, and well-being of its citizens. Fear that progressive activism, at the highest levels of state government, will go unchecked and unpunished.

Again, this was not an accidental leak. This was anti-firearm activism. Period.

We all know what happens from here. An internal investigation will take place. Public outcry will die down. No one will be held accountable.

The all-out assault on our 2nd Amendment right from the activist progressive left continues. California is leading the charge and showing we-the-people that will use any tactic they feel necessary, legal or not.
