“I just came here because my kids are 8, 10, and 12 and we started to experience things as far as Black History Month. My kids would come home and they would be afraid and I would always ask them what was going on and then I realized that they were teaching my kids about slavery and civil rights and nothing in between and you’ve got CRT,” said the father referring to Critical Race Theory, “and I ask you guys not to burden my kids with something that's going to hold them back. I don't teach them all the history because I want them to soar as big as they can be without the burden of someone saying you’re oppressed….”
