Jason Aldean's video for his song Try This In a Small Town has been pulled from CMT's air-play rotation. The video, which you can watch below, shows the country mega-star performing in front of an American flag and is interspersed with news footage of protesters attacking police, flag burning, and a convenience store robbery.
The chorus of the song is directed at the criminals who are overtaking America's crime riddled cities and serves as a warning to stay out of the back bone of America, our small towns:
Well, try that in a small town
See how far ya make it down the road
Around here, we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won't take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don't
Try that in a small town
Seems reasaonble, right? Well not according to the left who hates the 2nd ammendment and your right to defend yourself. The woke mob has a problem with the 2nd verse of the song when Jason Aldean sings:
Got a gun that my granddad gave me
They say one day they're gonna round up
Well, that sh*t might fly in the city, good luck
Sheryl Crow, a lefty singer who hasn't been relevant in 20+ years said the song promoted gun violence and called it lame.
Tennessee state representative Justin Jones, one of the state legislators who was removed from office for allowing transgender protestors to take over the state capitol in an insurrection, weighed in on the Aldean song, calling it a "shameful version of gun extremism and vigilantism "
This is just another example of the media and the left failing to understand what We the People know. That the right to defend ourselves is God given and enshrined in the Constitution. It is NOT extremism to protect yourself, your family or your community from those that want to do you harm.
This song speaks directly to the sentiment that MILLIONS of American's feel right now. We're pissed off at what's happening in society and tired of watching our once great cities being overtaken by lawlessnes. And Jason Aldean is right, try this stuff in a small town, and you'll soon learn one of life's most important lessons, 'eff around and find out.
