(Phoenix, AZ) -- Senator John McCain is slamming President Trump after Trump's summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki. The Arizona Republican put out a statement calling it one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory. He accused Trump of making a conscious choice to defend a tyrant and to grant Putin an uncontested platform to spew propaganda and lies. McCain chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee. He remains at home in Arizona, battling brain cancer.
