(Scottsdale, AZ) -- An investigation is underway after a deadly fire in Scottsdale. Sixteen dogs were killed when the home near the Loop 101 and Thomas went up in flames late last night. Fire crews braved the blaze and were able to extinguish the flames just enough to pull eight other dogs to safety. One of those pups had to be rushed to a vet for treatment. The homeowners claim they run an unofficial dog rescue, and how the fire started is unknown.
