(Washington, DC) Arizona U.S. Senator Jon Kyl took to the senate floor today to declare his support for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Kyl was working, unpaid, as Kavanaugh's guide through the confirmation process before he was appointed to fill the late Senator John McCain's seat. Kyl said today that Kavanaugh is "eminently qualified to serve on the Supreme Court." He also says he believes Kavanaugh's record proves he will apply the law fairly and consistently. Some have questioned the judge's temperament after his testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Kyl says Kavanaugh was simply trying to defend himself.
