Invest In Ed Will Be On November Ballot

It's official. Arizonans will vote on the Invest in Ed ballot initiative in November. The state Supreme Court saying the tax-hiking proposal should be on the ballot because the 100-word description does 'not create a significant danger of confusion or unfairness.'

The description had been the subject of a lawsuit claiming the ballot initiative's description is misleading. While a lower court agreed, the state's High Court disagreed on Wednesday.

If approved, the initiative will impose a 3.5% income tax surcharge on single people who earn more than $250,000 per year and couples who earn over $500,000.

No word on where the money 'raised'...err stolen...will actually go.
