Pelosi Steps Down From Democrat Leadership

This could mean the Democrats will continue their further slide left as the progressive wing of the party continues to grow. New York Representative Hakeem Jefferies is seen as the frontrunner to take over as House Minority Leader.

Like her or not, Pelosi was a force to be reckoned with, muscling Obamacare through the House in 2010 with zero Republican support. Another major Pelosi accomplishment is increasing her and the 82-her husband Paul's net worth by an estimated $130 million since she became speaker in 2007.
