Deputies Look for Suspect in Boy's Near Abduction

(KFYI News) – The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office has issued a sketch of a suspect in the near-abduction of a ten-year-old boy on Monday morning.

According to a news release, the boy was playing on a rock pile on his family's property in the Rainbow Valley area near Buckeye before school when a man grabbed the boy and tried to pull him toward the desert area behind the house.  The boy managed to get away and ran into the house, where his mother called 911.

The suspect ran off.

Sheriff's deputies, along with a helicopter and K-9 units, searched the desert area behind the home with no results.

The suspect is described as a white male, average to tall height, average build, with dark hair and a tattoo on the inside of his right forearm.
