(Mesa, AZ) -- A Mesa city councilman is trying to buy his way out of trouble. Councilman Ryan Winkle is facing a disciplinary hearing tomorrow after getting busted for DUI with a blood-alcohol content of nearly three times the legal limit. His lawyer wants him to pay two-thousand-dollars to the general fund and have the hearing cancelled. Winkle has also agreed to not drink booze until his term is finished. He pleaded guilty to the charges in July and the city has spent over 30-grand trying to figure out what to do with him.
