School Punishment Investigated

The Dysart Unified School District is reviewing an incident where a teacher was accused of forcing students to walk in circles as punishment.  One mother tells ABC-15 that her seven-year-old daughter and several other classmates were told to march in circles outside.  The woman claims the punishment lasted 20-to-30 minutes in temperatures near 100-degrees.  District officials responded to the report saying that they didn't approve of the technique but said the action only took place for five minutes.  There has been no police report filed.
