Governor Ducey Considers "Ban the Box" Policy

Governor Doug Ducey is working to reduce recidivism and provide criminals a second chance.  It's called "ban the box" and according to the Arizona Capitol Times the Ducey administration is considering the policy for state agencies.  It would delay the step that asks prospective employees about prior arrests or convictions until later in the interview process.  It would only impact public sector not private company jobs. Several Arizona cities, including Phoenix and Tempe, already have "ban the box" policies in place for public-sector jobs.
