Mesa PD: Parents Helped Daughter Disappear

Two parents in Mesa are being accused of faking the disappearance of their daughter and grandson.

Mesa police say Roland Jones, his wife and their 19-year-old daughter hatched the plan so the daughter could avoid sharing custody of her one-year-old son.  The daughter, Madeline Jones and her one-year old son, were reported missing by her parents on June 16th.  Jones' parents told police they believed their daughter's ex-husband was involved.  Police now believe the three worked to disguise the mother and son in the days prior to her disappearance.  Officers are still working to locate Jones and her son.
