The Maricopa County Department of Public Health, Mesa Fire Department and The Arizona Partnership for Immunization are teaming up to provide free flu shot clinics.
Federal health officials recently estimated that flu has killed between 12,000 and 56,000 people each year since 2010. Now this multi-agency effort will offer free flu shots several Valley clinics. Early indications show this year’s vaccine to be a good match to the strains circulating. Receiving a flu shot is the best way to protect yourself against the flu.
