A new housing concept will serve the Valley's veterans and their families. It's called Valor on Eighth. It's a Tempe mixed use space with 50 living units and 45 of them will give preference to U.S. veterans with reduced rental rates. It is considered one of the first affordable developments in the country for veterans and their families. The combined effort of nonprofit, private and government entities is designed to provide permanent housing for those currently in more transitional living arrangements. The development will also house veteran-service agencies and foundations serving the veteran population. It's expected to open in December.
