New information from the Arizona Secretary of State's Office on a possible attempted hack by Russia in the voter system. Last month the Department of Homeland Security informed Arizona officials the state was one of 21 states targeted by Russia in attempted hacking in the 2016 Presidential election.
Now, in a blog post Arizona's Secretary of State Michele Reagan says her office met with DHS last week to discuss those alleged intelligence reports. Her office now says despite those intial reports, DHS could not confirm that any attempted Russian government attack occurred to any election-related system in Arizona, and certainly not the statewide voter registration database. The Secretary of State's office maintains that Arizona was not targeted by the Russian government. See blog post here
