A private prison in Eloy is set to receive 200 of Nevada's most violent inmates. The state of Nevada is paying CoreCivic more than $9 million dollars to house the inmates at the company's Saguaro Correctional Facility. State officials in Nevada say they have a shortage of prison beds and no private prisons in Nevada could accommodate the inmates. The inmates being shipped to Arizona are "the most destructive and the most dangerous" in Nevada, according the head of the Nevada Department of Corrections.
