A warning from MVD about the transfer of disabled parking plates. Arizona's Motor Vehicle Division continues to see cases of disabled license plates or hanging placards being offered for sale on Craigslist and at swap meets.
One person was arrested recently after trying to sell a relative's placard online. The thing is, it's illegal to sell them, or buy them, or even possess them if they're not issued to you.
MVD reminds you that the plates and placards are only allowed, by law, for people who have gotten a written order from a doctor or other medical professional because of some type of medical condition.
