A candidate for the Senate seat being vacated by Arizona Senator Jeff Flake is getting a big endorsement.
Former state lawmaker Kelli Ward tweeted this morning that she is honored to have the support of Kentucy Senator Rand Paul. The endorsement gives Ward an important ally ahead of what many see could become a messy primary.
So far Ward is the only Republican to declare her candidacy for the race but others are expected to jump in.
Paul made the announcement during an interview with FOX News and said she is a thoughtful leader, an outsider and not a career politician.
