An ASU student was among protesters who crowded Capitol Hill Thursday. Hundreds of demonstrators demanded Congress vote on the Dream Act. The protesters want to see protections for DACA recipients. Their efforts resulted in 15 arrests and Cronkite News reports one of the demonstrators arrested is from Arizona. Police confirm ASU student and dreamer Belen Sisa was among the 15 people arrested. President of the Arizona Dream Act Coalition was there as well, calling for our elected officials to replace the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. An estimated 800,000 DACA recipients could face potential deportation without legislation.
