Senator John McCain is ripping President Trump for his weekend comments about Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In a statement, the Arizona Republican said Putin does not have America's interests at heart. He added, to believe otherwise is not only naive but places U.S. national security at risk.
Trump tried to walk back comments suggesting he believed Putin's denials about Russian interference in the presidential election. The President later said he believes that Putin thinks there was no meddling.
