Maryvale Park is getting a face-lift and a major league baseball team will be practicing there for years to come.
The Phoenix City Council voted this week to renovate the park, which led to the Milwaukee Brewers signing a new contract. The plan keeps the ball club in Maryvale through the year 2042.
Construction at the park is set to begin this upcoming March, and the park should be ready for the Brewers when they start Spring Training in 2019.
The Brewers are reportedly chipping in around 50-million-dollars and the city of Phoenix will toss in 10-million.
