Man Who Shot Cop Headed To Prison

A man who shot a Phoenix police officer is now headed to prison.  In a plea agreement, Michael Rogers was sentenced to 16 years Friday for aggravated assault in the 2015 shooting. Rogers shot the officer three times during a traffic stop.  He was wanted for shoplifting and reportedly told passengers in the car he wasn't going to jail.  The officer was wearing a protective vest which saved his life.
