A former Mesa police officer is telling his side of the story the night he shot and killed a man inside a hotel.
Philip Brailsford faces murder charges and took the stand Wednesday in his own defense. He stayed true to his original story saying the man he killed was reaching for a gun.
He went on to say that he fired several rounds until he saw the man fall over. Investigators say the man was not armed.
Brailsford is due back on the stand Thursday for cross examination.
