The Arizona Diamondbacks are bolstering their bullpen. The D'backs have acquired relief pitcher Brad Boxberger from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for minor league pitcher Curtis Taylor.
Boxberger went 4-and-4 with a 3.38 ERA in 30 games with the Rays last season. The 29-year-old right-hander is 17-and-20 with 44 saves, 33 holds and a 3.19 ERA over his six-year career.
Boxberger joins a bullpen that ranked fifth in baseball this past season with a 3.78 ERA.
