John McCain To Support Senate Tax Bill

Senator John McCain says he will support the Senate tax bill.  In a statement, the Arizona Republican called the legislation "far from perfect," but said he thought it would "enhance American competitiveness, boost the economy, and provide long overdue tax relief for middle class families."

McCain said he "took seriously the concerns of his colleagues," but believes the bill will have a positive net effect on the economy.

McCain was one of the last GOP senators who had not committed to supporting the bill.

Senate Republican leaders want to finish the bill by the end of the week and today's work could go deep into the night.
