Construction is underway on a new permanent casino in the west Valley.

The Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise recently broke ground on the Desert Diamond West Valley Casino.

The casino is being built on tribal land near Peoria and Glendale just north of the tribe's current casino.

More than 15-hundred construction jobs will be created during the build.  The 400-million dollar project is expected to be completed in two years.
