Police agencies across the state will be beefing up patrols for the holiday season. Alberto Gutier of The Governor's Office of Highway Safety says the increased police presence will be similar to that of Thanksgiving weekend.
Gutier tells the "Arizona Republic" that officials are extending a program that allows police to get a warrant to draw blood from anyone suspected of being under the influence as blood draws are better indicators of alcohol and drug use.
