A jury finds in favor of former Mesa Police Officer Philip Brailsford. The jury also found him not guilty of a lesser charge of reckless manslaughter. The charges stemmed from the fatal shooting of Daniel Shaver in January 2016 in a Mesa hotel. Brailsford shot him when he thought Shaver was going for a gun. Brailsford fire five shots, killing Shaver. It turned out that Shaver was unarmed.
