Arpaio Strongly Considering Senate Run

Former Phoenix sheriff Joe Arpaio is strongly considering running for Senate in 2018.  He told ABC News about his plans yesterday.

Arpaio said he has not spoken to President Trump about his possible run, but added if he runs, he's running for him.

The former sheriff of Maricopa County admits to meeting with former White House Strategist Steve Bannon in the last month.

Arpaio was an early supporter of Donald Trump during his campaign.  The President pardoned Arpaio after he was found guilty of criminal contempt charges in a racial profiling case.
