A woman may be driving around the Ahwatukee-area trying to give candy to kids.
Two boys say they were approached by a woman in an SUV who tried giving them candy canes. The younger boy ran over to her, but his older brother was there and stopped him from getting too close before the two ran home.
Another parent says a woman offered her two daughters candy canes recently in the same area, and she was also driving an SUV.
Phoenix police say the woman might have thought she was being nice, but the kids did the right thing by running away.
