Arizona Senator Jeff Flake is applauding Democrat Doug Jones' apparent victory in the Alabama Senate race.
Flake is a Republican but has publicly supported Jones since Jones' opponent Roy Moore had been accused of sexually assault by multiple women. Flake tweeted after several news outlets declared Jones the winner, saying "decency wins."
Earlier this month, Flake shared a photo of a one-hundred dollar check he had written to the Doug Jones campaign with the caption "country over party."
