Phoenix On Track For Warmest Year On Record

If you think it's been warmer than usual this year, you're right.

Phoenix National Weather Service Meteorologist Matthew Hirsch said so far this year, the average temperature is tied with Phoenix's warmest year on record.  There is a 47-percent chance that 2017 will finish as the warmest year for Phoenix.

Currently the warmest year on record for Phoenix is 2014.

Hirsch says the average temperature in Phoenix has been steadily rising over the past 100 years or so.
