John Legend's next role is not for ordinary people. The ten-time Grammy-winning artist will star as Jesus in NBC's live version of "Jesus Christ Superstar"
on Easter Sunday, April 1st. Original creators Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice will serve as producers, and rocker Alice Cooper has been slated to play King Herod.
"Superstar" follows a series of other live musical productions on the network, including "The Sound of Music," "Hairspray" and "The Wiz."
