Arizona Is One Of The Fastest Growing States

Idaho is the fastest growing state in the nation.

The Census Bureau reported Wednesday that the population of the Gem State grew two-point-two percent to one-point-seven million from July 2016 to July 2017.

Other states with high growth included Nevada, Utah, Washington, Florida and Arizona.

Wyoming had the largest decline at one percent.

In Puerto Rico, the population dropped from three-point-four to three-point-three million, but the numbers don't reflect what's happened since the island territory was devastated by hurricanes.  For the country as a whole, international migration brought in about one-point-one million people for the year.
