An Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper is suspended and behind bars after investigators found DPS weapons and grenades at his home.
Forty-five-year-old John Petculescu faces eight counts of theft and eight counts of misconduct involving weapons. Investigators found multiple rounds of ammunition and flash-bang grenades. And it appears the grenades were never cataloged or inventoried by DPS, as required by law.
Petculescu has been with DPS for 18 years and has worked in the firearms training unit for eight years.
