A former Phoenix cop and his wife arraigned on murder and child abuse charges. Germayne and Lisa Cunningham are accused of neglecting and abusing seven-year-old Sanaa Cunningham from June of 2016 to February of last year when the child died.
Court documents say the couple restrained the little girl with zip ties, forced her to sleep outside and locked her in the garage.
They face ten counts of child abuse and first degree murder. Cunningham was a detective with the Phoenix police department for 12 years before resigning in September.
