Additional Fees Wanted For Medical Pot Patients

A lawmaker in Arizona wants folks using medical marijuana legally to pay to keep people away from it. Representative Vince Leach from Tucson says he doesn't believe that most of the people who have medical pot cards, are using the drug because they have chronic pain.

Leach tells the AZ Capital Times that he wants the money from excess fees paid to the state from the medical marijuana program to be used for what he calls a meaningful campaign, not just a billboard to keep people away from drugs.

Opponents simply want the fees reduced and are pursing legal action.
