Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are sounding optimistic about reaching a deal on border security and DACA.
A bipartisan group of senators is working on immigration issues, and hopes to find a solution for thousands of undocumented immigrants currently protected by the DACA program.
Republican Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona said yesterday the group is close to an agreement, and a deal could be announced as early as this week.
Leading Democrat Dick Durbin of Illinois said he feels very positive that they are moving in the right direction.
President Trump gave Congress until March 5th to come up with a proposal for the 800-thousand residents covered by DACA. The proposal is expected to include additional border security.
