AZ House Panel Votes To Get Rid Of Traffic Cameras

An Arizona ban on photo enforcement is clearing its first hurdle with lawmakers on the House Judiciary Committee.  The bill introduced again this year by Representative Travis Grantham.

The Gilbert legislator continues to cite constitutional and safety reasons as to why he would like to see photo radar and red light cameras removed from Arizona roadways.  Photo enforcement is already banned on state highways.

Opponents of the ban believe the decision should be left up to local cities.
