Sugary Drink Tax Ban

It's an effort to ensure Arizona municipalities can't tax your favorite sugary drinks.  This morning the House Ways and Means Committee voted overwhelmingly to advance a proposal by Republican Representative T.J. Shope.  The measure says any taxes on food products must be uniform.  The move appears to be a preemptive strike against the growing national trend to tax soda and other sugary drinks.
