Congresswoman Martha McSally is praising the bipartisan budget deal that the House will vote on today or tonight.
In a Capitol briefing today, the Arizona Republican said the bipartisan deal will give the military the necessary tools to move forward in a dangerous world.
McSally is a retired Air Force colonel. She said the nation "needs veterans in Congress" to ensure that the Pentagon has proper support.
McSally is running for the Senate this year.
