Voters Could Decide Recreational Marijuana In AZ

A bipartisan bill is being introduced at the State Capital that would allow voters to decide the use of recreational marijuana in Arizona.

Democrat Representative Mark Cardenas and Republican Representative Todd Clodfelter introduced the legislation.  Voters would decide the legalization of marijuana of one ounce or less for personal use and allows for the cultivation of not more the six marijuana plants.

The law would prohibit marijuana consumption in public places or allow users to drive under the influence.  The legislation also establishes an excise tax on marijuana.
