Frequent White House critic Senator Jeff Flake says it's an understatement to say the administration could have handled the domestic abuse allegations against former staff secretary Rob Porter better.
The Arizona Republican tells NBC's "Meet the Press," there could be fallout politically. Flake said, "I do think if you put on a political hat, that is a big problem, certainly how we are viewed as Republicans in the next election."
Flake added, "It's a big problem not to show any concern or empathy for the potential victims of these incidents."
The President tweeted on Saturday that "lives were being shattered by a mere allegation." Porter resigned due to allegations from two former wives.
