Rock removal will force temporary I-17 closures today north of Black Canyon City.
The northbound lanes will be shut down at 10:30 this morning for 15 minutes. Southbound travelers will need to plan for an hour closure beginning at noon near Sunset Point.
Crews will remove rocks along the highway that are a potential hazard.
Drivers may consider delaying travel or using an alternate route during the temporary closures.
