Hate

Wednesday, on the very day that Rev. Billy Graham died, the Washington Post printed a hit piece disparaging Graham and his family.

Who does that? People of the Lie. The hit piece was inappropriate, vile and disgusting. It was also a sign of our times. We live in a time where people who are offended by your personal beliefs have no compunction about disparaging you. Religion (except Islam) is not exempt from public contempt, and Christians are the enemy du jour. Why Christianity? Maybe it’s because there are definitive do’s and dont’s that actually go against the tide of the culture and that offends people. Maybe it’s because Christians are known to turn the other cheek rather than slaughter unbelievers as infidels, so we are seen as easy targets. Whatever the reason, the Washington Post was almost gleeful as it savaged a family in the throes of mourning.

Teen Vogue also joined in on the Christian bashing.

The headline attacking the world renown evangelist reads: Teen Vogue’s Lauren Duca rips ‘evil’ Rev. Billy Graham: ‘Have fun in hell.’ Hmmm… Shouldn’t it read Teen Vogue’s Evil Lauren Duca rips Rev. Billy Graham: She’ll have fun in hell’?

What is going on here? You do not need any more proof that the culture is sick. The culture of the offended self dictates that anyone can say anything at any time about anyone else. The offended self convinces people that they have a right to punish others for a perceived offense. Remember when Bill Clinton clinched the 1992 campaign against George H.W. Bush with strategist James Carville’s iconic line, “The economy, stupid.”? Well, it’s the culture, stupid, not guns that are leading to school shootings.

Teen Vogue is being read by tens of thousands of young women a day and they are consuming the hate and bile contained therein. The culture of offense is festering and will continue to spread like a nasty infection.

Lauren Duca will be hailed as a hero by the left because she hates Christians and publicly spit on one’s grave. She will be trotted out on CNN and MSNBC as the voice of young women everywhere.

According to the article on FOX News: “Duca gained national prominence by sparring with Tucker Carlson on Fox News in late 2016 and has since made donations to Planned Parenthood in Carlson’s name. She has been outspoken about her disdain for President Trump and once tweeted a letter that Hillary Clinton reportedly sent her for showing “courage and poise” on the internet.”

Poise and courage? This is the left’s line of thinking and yet another reason to thank God that Hillary lost. However, we should never forget that Jesus told us that because of Him the world would hate us.

Yep.
